Practical Repairs, and Honest Advice About Them

Pool problems rarely stay the same size. A hairline crack, a loose tile, or a slow leak is far cheaper to fix now than after another Arizona summer of expansion, contraction, and hard water.

We inspect what’s actually happening, explain our findings clearly, and recommend the repair that solves the problem — not just covers it up.

Sometimes the honest answer is that repairs no longer make sense. If your pool needs multiple fixes, we’ll tell you when a renovation is a better investment than repeated repairs.

What's Involved

When to Repair and When to Remodel

Repair makes sense when the issue is isolated — one crack, one section of tile, one area of deck. If the rest of the pool still has service life left, there’s no reason to disturb it.

A remodel or renovation makes more sense when several systems are aging at once. Grouping the work into one project costs less than repeated mobilizations and gives you a backyard that looks finished — not patched together.

Questions

Pool Repair FAQs

Have a question that isn’t answered here? Call (480) 784‑7650 — we’re happy to help.

How do I know if my pool is leaking?

Water loss beyond normal evaporation is the first sign, along with wet spots near the equipment pad or unexplained changes in water chemistry. Locating the source is the first step; the repair depends on what we find.

Are cracks in the plaster serious?

Fine surface crazing is common and usually cosmetic. Wider cracks, cracks that follow a line, or cracks with staining around them should be evaluated because they may involve the shell.

Can loose tile be repaired without draining the pool?

Small areas above the waterline sometimes can. Waterline tile work generally requires lowering or draining the pool.

When is a repair not worth it?

When you’re patching one problem after another. If the finish, tile, and decking are all near the end of their life, a renovation is usually more cost‑effective than a series of separate repairs.

Do you fix pool decking?

Yes. Cracked, lifted, or badly faded decking is a common part of the repair and renovation work we perform.
