A pool is more than a backyard feature — it is part of how many Arizona homeowners relax, entertain, and enjoy outdoor living throughout the year. With sunny days, warm weather, and long outdoor seasons, a well-planned swimming pool can make your home feel more comfortable, functional, and enjoyable.
At We Do It Pools, we design and build custom pools for homeowners in Apache Junction who want a backyard designed around the way they live. Whether you are envisioning a clean, modern inground pool, a spa, a plunge pool, or a more complete outdoor transformation, our team brings hands-on experience and practical guidance to every project.
Pool building in Apache Junction takes thoughtful planning. Soil conditions, drainage, sun exposure, backyard access, permitting, and neighborhood requirements can all affect the final design and construction process. Our team helps guide your project from the first design conversation through construction, finishes, and final walkthrough with clear communication and quality workmanship throughout.
What's Involved
Good pool design is mostly about proportion and circulation — how much deck you actually need, where people walk, where the shade falls in July, and what you see from inside the house.
We work through those questions before drawing a shape, which is why the finished pools tend to feel like they belong to the property rather than sitting on top of it.
Details
Shape, depth, and placement developed around your lot, your home, and how you’ll use the space.
Our custom pool construction services cover every stage of building your new pool — excavation, structural work, plumbing, equipment installation, tile, coping, and interior finishes. We coordinate the details throughout the project to create a pool that fits your property and is built for years of enjoyment.
Make your new pool more functional and enjoyable with custom features designed around the way you use your backyard. We can incorporate spas, water features, steps, benches, tanning ledges, lighting, and other features into your pool design.
Pebble, mini pebble, plaster, and quartz options with a range of colors and textures.
Deck layout and material selection that keeps surfaces usable through Arizona summers.
From initial design through final construction, we keep your project organized and communication clear. Our team coordinates each phase so you know what to expect as your new pool takes shape.
Finishes
The interior finish sets the water color, the feel underfoot, and how the surface ages. These are the finishes we work with.
A durable aggregate finish with a textured look and long service life in Arizona conditions.
A smaller aggregate that offers pebble durability with a smoother feel underfoot.
The traditional pool finish — clean, familiar, and the most straightforward option for refreshing your pool.
Plaster blended with quartz for added density, richer color options, and improved resistance to staining.

Questions
Pool Construction FAQs
What makes a local pool builder different?
Familiarity with local conditions. Arizona lot sizes, side‑yard access, hard water, and sun exposure all affect design decisions — and a builder who works in the East Valley every day plans for them by default.
Can you build a pool and spa together?
Yes. An attached spa is one of the most requested additions because it extends how much of the year the backyard gets used.
What pool features are worth including?
A Baja shelf, LED lighting, and shade tend to deliver the most day‑to‑day value in Arizona. Water features add sound and movement and should be scaled to the pool rather than oversized.
Do you build pools on small Arizona lots?
Regularly. Compact designs — sometimes with a spa instead of a large deep end — often suit older Arizona backyards better than full‑size pools.
